There are apps like TuneFab Spotify Music Converter allowing you to convert songs from Spotify, download them in a convenient format, and remove ads as a bonus. The bad news is you cannot just stream music ad-free, as you need to select the songs and convert them beforehand. Same thing here, except my entire front page has been hijacked for the most part. This is desktop app BTW but its the same on my phone as well. Unknown artists, obviously some kind of hacking/illegal advertising that spotify is failing to acknowledge. The only ones I have actually listened to is The Weeknd, Beyonce and Pop Remix.

To find the hosts file, open Finder and, in Finder’s menu bar, select Go > Go to Folder. In the box, type the following location and press Return.
To open it, simply double-click and it will display the file’s contents in TextEdit (or the text editor of your choice). Add the host content in it and save.

When you’re done making changes, press Control+X to exit the editor, Y to save, and Return to overwrite the existing hosts file. As mentioned earlier, make sure to flush your DNS cache if you notice that your new mappings aren’t working properly.
